About the friendship tournaments: These are intented
to bring teams to Asbury Park and give them an organized environment
for beach play. These are no frills no fuzz organized games and
all players are expected to help setup courts. APVB will also reserve
a court for open play should you wish to play in a more casual fashion.
Cancellation Policy: We will cancel only in case
of extreme weather. We will play in light rain or strong winds...believe
us you won't melt.
Refund Policy: We will refund registration fee
only in the event of a cancellation. Events are not likely to be
cancelled, but postponed.
Levels: Until there is a widely used rating system
for beach play, we will continue to use NAGVA ratings as a point
of reference. We may make some exceptions in certain cases, but
those would have to be approved and disclosed to all teams in advance
to allow them to withdraw or protest before the tournament.
B Division - Only B players (Gotham Divisions 4 - 8)
BB Division - Only BB players or lower (Gotham Divisions 2-3)
A Division - Only A players or lower (Gotham Division 1)
Non-rated players will be evaluated during the tournament and
if player is higher rating than divison, team will not qualify for
elimination brackets.
