Our Annual Beach Open Tournament has been growing each year attracting
players from all over NJ, NY, PA and beyond. This year, it promises
to be an even bigger event as we look to partner with many of the
local businesses and other community sponsors.
This year, our Annual Beach Volleyball Open tournament will be
held Saturday August 6, 2011 in Asbury Park. Twelve courts will
be setup to accommodate over 200 players from all over the tri-state
area and beyond.
Location: Asbury Park 5th avenue beach
Divisions and Formats: Three formats will be offered:
2's, 4's and 6's.
The 2's and 4's format will consist of A/AA, BB and B divisions
The 6's format will consist of only one level - C (Recommended
for B or recreational players or for Gotham players in division
5 -9)
Captains should select the level appropriate for their teams. If
you have any doubts as to which division you should register for,
please email us at mail@apvolleyball.org. A rating system will be
assigned to each team depending on their full roster to ensure that
teams are properly placed.
Tournament Party: Your tournament registration
includes free t-shirt, prizes, access to our post tournament party
which will have plenty of food, drinks and our traditional award
ceremony. Location of the party will be announced soon.
Transportation: For those who are traveling from
NYC, round-trip transportation will be made available via Midtown
West to Asbury Park. Currently there are no seats available, but
please email us at mail@apvolleyball.org in case any cancellations.
